Vineyard, Production, & Winemaker Notes: Our Caywood East vineyard is situated just south of the winery on a steeply sloped gravel site overlooking the mid-section of Seneca Lake. For more than 90 years, this site has produced exceptional grapes. The site was replanted entirely to Riesling on a new Scott-Henry trellis system in 2005. This truly dry Riesling is an outstanding dinner wine, with slate, minerality, citrus, and just a whisper of tree fruit.

Great Riesling wine

My wife and I were not big Riesling fans, that was before we visited Wagner and drank this wine. It has great taste and is very dry. That makes it a big hit in our home. We are drinking it now during the fall. We believe it will be even more enjoyable in the warmer weather. I encourage anyone who is not a Riesling or white wine fan to try it. It will change your wine selection going forward. We have since tried other Riesling wines, however this is the best! Enjoy!

Cannot say enough about this wine. I was gifted a bottle and when I tasted it for the first time, I knew it would have to be in our wine racks. I ordered four in a mixed caseload from Wagner and the first one I opened tasted just like the first one. Crisp and full of flavors, this was a delicious addition to our salmon dinner. Lovely terroir and citrus flavors perfectly balanced to provide sheer delight on the tongue.

Love this wine. It is crisp and has a smooth taste. I am not a wine connoisseur but I do enjoy and appreciate a good tasting wine. This was definitely a favorite.
