Meritage, a combination of the words merit and heritage (pronounced to rhyme with "heritage" rather than "garage"), is a name used by members of the Meritage Alliance meaning an American-made blend of Bordeaux varietals. At Wagner Vineyards, we only bottle Meritage in exceptional vintages. This fruit-forward, oak-aged red features rich flavors, depth, and balance. Full of ripe berry and black cherry with soft tannins and hints of dark chocolate all in beautiful harmony!

Cellaring

We bought two to cellar, as this wine's description suggests! So we eagerly wait for New Years eve in 2023 and 2024!
Outstanding
From Mark Fusco of STATEN ISLAND, New York on .
A great alternative to French Bordeaux. The berry and acidity of the Cabernet Franc clearly dominate, with Sauvignon and Merlot muted, but definitely there. An extremely well structured and balanced wine. One which could easily become a favorite.

This wine is one of my all-time favorites. Any time I am in NY I make sure that I go by and pick up a few bottles.
A Nice Surprise

I always preferred white wines from the Finger Lakes however this red blend has made me rethink my preferences.
