Fruity and floral on the nose, this Unoaked Chardonnay has a palate full of apples and pears that finishes with a hint of citrusy lemongrass and a silky texture. Beginning with the 2014 vintage, we tried a new yeast to ensure we brought this to a full dry Chardonnay. Now using 3 different yeasts for complexity. Fermented in stainless steel with Stelvin closure. A blend from several of our Chardonnay vineyard blocks, including Dijon clone

I was prepared to not like this because I don’t like Chardonnay in general, especially oaked Chardonnay. But this was unexpectedly pleasing, especially chilled, and reminded me of summer. It made me reconsider my anti-Chardonnay bias!
